I know that you prefer Richard Harris but the poor man died, I loved him too but you know, in the books, Dumbledore had changed too... and it was normal to have a new actor, that's life and I love the new one too... In the new trailer, he looks like Gandalf but he's fun ^^

he was the perfect Dumbledore. the newer one just has too harsh a voice. when I read the books, I always picture Dumbledore to be a very soft-spoken person, and Richard Harris was perfect!

I think they both play the parts well for different reasons. Harris had the very gentle and kind nature of Albus perfectly, while Gambon has the eccentric, quirky attitude we love from Dumbledore. Although I do think that Gambon should read the books and see that Dumbledore is a bit more... down to earth. I preferred Richard Harris though.

I have nothing against Michael Gambon, he's an incredible actor who does things like Shakespeare tremendously. But he doesn't have enough of the gentle daftness with a clever sparkle about him. Somehow Richard Harris encapsulated that. This is as much RIP Richard Harris as old Dumbley-dore.
