| Go get one then!They're only about 100,000 dollars.Yea' that's going to help people that are struggling to make ends meet.You have any idea how long you would have to drive that car to even save a dime? About 15 to 20 years! You can create more jobs drilling than producing cars that most Americans can afford.We will always need oil so why not market it, our Democratic congress is whats getting in the way of drilling. Be honest if gas was $1.50 a gallon you wouldn't even think of electric cars! |

| Tesla's already gearing up a 4 door sedan that will cost a lot less. How many jobs will you create drilling? Int'l oil companies will have the rigs built elsewhere w/ cheap labor and perhaps a few Americans can work on them. The number of jobs produced by drilling would be maybe a few hundred. And I've been thinking of electric cars ever since the Kyoto accords. I don't know why I'm talking to you, though. Anyone deadset on drilling is too fucking stupid for intelligent conversation. |

Give the oil companies HUGE tax breaks and perks to invest their R& D money in manufacturing and developing these types of vehicles, put all the out of work, laid off due to market cuts auto workers into the electric market. Give the oil companies a cut of the profits, in shares of the electric business. The car makers are broke, the oil companies are despised, this is their golden ticket... if they would just use their heads, instead of their greed. |

| Exactly, we'll still need to drill for oil for various other products. Therefore, since oil will still be needed, it won't hurt our oh sooooo needy oil companies to produce electric cars by the hundreds of thousands. I'm glad we cleared that up! |

| as they increase production, they will be able to bring the cost of their cars down. it's like that with any technology though. the batteries will become better and cheaper to construct as the years go by. and keep in mind that this supposed to be a sports car model. there are already electric car companies out there like zenn motors who are producing fully loaded cars for around 21,000 dollars. |

| We would still need oil......Electric cars are not an answer .....only an option for some...even $21,000 can not be afforded by a lot of low income households that rely on their reliable gas cars....Semi's hauling large freight cross country will still need to run diesel Also' you need to take in consideration of all petroleum by products that we use in our daily lives..Electric and Gasoline should be a freedom of preference, not the only option...We need to support offshore drilling! |

| i never said that oil wasn't useful. i'm well aware of just how many petroleum products are in use today. even if all vehicles were electric, petroleum would still go into the construction of the vehicle. yes, there are lots of families who can't afford $21,000 for a car, but those same families can't afford the astronomical cost of gas either. Not only that, insurance on electric cars is cheaper and they require hardly the same kind of repairs as a gas-powered vehicle. |

| I'd buy it, 200mpc is great for a day of joy riding or going to work. Come home stick in the charging unit and bam another 200 miles ready in less then 4 hours. Great car I hope this will be a huge success! |
