His company Bain Capital bought clear channel recently for 16 billion dollars. I can't help but feel that the audience applause after every answer is detrimental to the debate process. The candidates should articulate their beliefs without response from the public- this would foster more honest answers to some very important questions because they would have to stand solely on the debate format and not external influence. Lacan put it well- the unconscious is not an internal entity, it resides in all that which the perceived individual is immersed in.

Nixon was in no way stupid- he actually was amazingly gifted in politics. However, he was without a doubt in a lot of pockets and paranoid to the point which affected his judgement. When it comes to Romney- he is no Nixon, but I do have some serious concerns about him as a MA resident. The "Big Dig" in Boston has been an embarrassment- smeared with corruption and ineptitude. If he can't oversee that project, he can't run the country. That is one of many examples of his inadequacy.
