| awesome heavy video. the part about the sentries though, you should just have a medic taking the knockback from the sentry, then the heavy can waltz in and rip it up. if this was discussed before, then disregard it :D |

| when there are multiple sentries its better to go in with something like a demoman so that they can blow more stuff up. the heavy is gonna spend all his uber just getting to the sentries. |

| Well yeah, in a perfect world that'd be the best way. Unfortunately there are times when your enemy just ISNT AT LONG DISTANCE. In those situations you can either flee and probably die, or no-scope them and follow it up with a swift machete to the face. Playing ANY class well means making good use of all your weapons when the need arises. |

| If your at a short distance, youll probably die anyway. Good scouts are hard to no-scope or melee, youll probably just be killed by a pyro, heavy or soldier and lets face it, most of the other classes arent gonna do much. You wouldnt exactly sit there while an engie bulds his sentry XD |

| With that attitude man, you'd get killed by a pyro, heavy or soldier no matter what class you play. And if you're short-sighted enough to believe an engie can/will only ever kill you with a sentry, you clearly dont know what I mean when I say "MAKE GOOD USE OF ALL YOUR WEAPONS" |

| I've played 220 hour scout (mostly matches) and I haven't had the need to use the bat in more than 5 instances. And when I do it's under so desperate conditions that the bat shouldn't be the tipping factor anyways. More kills with the demo-bottle, though. But I'd be thrilled to hear why someone should focus as much on using fists as using minigun as heavy and especially in getting better at one of them. |

| You're right: the bat is almost never a good idea, but there ARE situations when it comes into play, hence "make good use of all your weapons when the need arises". The same goes for the soldier's shovel; its just too weak and you're not likely to stay within melee range long enough for a kill. With regard to the fists; they have a high crit rate and dont suffer from windup time, but they're only useful in desperate situations. Again, "when the need arises". |
