Frank Sinatra - Stardust (1943)

Video Description:
With some minor alterations, this is essentially the same arrangement of "Stardust" that Sinatra recorded with the Tommy Dorsey band in 1941. Here, Frank is accompanied by his cohorts from "Your Hit Parade," including conductor Mark Warnow. This public domain footage comes from the "Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco" promotional film (full movie available at www.archive.org).

Love Sinatra when he was young and really singing, not wasting his voice in his Rat Pack, scoobi-doobie-do, I'm cooler than anyone days. This is just beautiful! Also love his version of "I Fall in Love Too Easily" with just him and a piano. Untouchable!!!!

LSMFT was their ad. Lucky Strike means fine tobacco, (if there is such a thing). To show you how much things have changed, I saw a little of an old Claudet Colbert movie where she was pregnant, and her doctor was smoking and offered her a cigarette. People would laugh at that today. I sure did.
