yes you said it correct her songs! be can sing her songs the way she wants, but she don't oversing other peoples songs, especially a classic such as at last, come on christina ruined it, its not about how many rifts and note I can sing and hold, its about perfecting the song, she did not cut it, sorry!

i love christina's version way better than beyonce, only because she took her time and kept that jazzy blues feel to the song. beyonce lost that jazzy/bluesy essence of the song and didn't capture that emotion the best. also, christina killed beyonce on those vocal runs and that high note!

Christina has a powerful voice but she does too much with the runs and face expressions. It takes away from the performance. She needs to tone it down and just do the song instead of trying to "showcase" her voice all the time.

I can't say Beyonce did/didn't do a good job playing Etta, the movie has not been released where I am, but I can comment on the fact that Christina performed this song in her concerts since '00. I stand behind my original statement, "Christina sung the hell out of this song and she sung it YEARS before Beyonce jumped on the Etta James bandwagon so she could play Etta for the movie."
BTW where did you read/see that Etta James asked Beyonce to protray her? This is the 1st I'm hearing of this.
