C;mon..people are so harsh..this Kid is showing a form of respect..hell, whether he did this or not people were always comparing him to Michael...nobody got upset when he did that cover song "This CHristmas"..no one was mad at that or said he was trying to be Donnie Hathaway..but when he does a few songs people get upset? He bears the most resemblance to Mike as far as voice and dance go, and I think because of that, many people have high expectations for him. That is a tough act to follow, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes. Behind him would be NeYo with sound and writing that bears similarities to MJ. And of course, Ciara has the most similarity to Ms. Janet.

Some of you are being totally unfair towards Chris Brown. This performance is practically in dedication to Michael Jackson because, in case you didn't realise, Chris adores Michael and this is his way of showing it. It's not exactly the same between 'CB and all these young artists being inspired by MJ' and 'MJ inspired by James Brown, Fred Asteire and so on.' Another big difference is that MJ came out of his own and he outshines the artists he look up to.
But it's nice to see these younger artists paying tribute to him.

The differnce is that mj learnt from and made james brown his own....all the artists today (usher, justin, neyo. chris brown) are just poor imitations of jackson and adding nothing new to the table...
Let me put it this way...michael jackson has the moonwalk, white glove, white socks, the hat throwing, the lean, the spin, the crazy pets, the high pitched voice, the hehes, thriller etc...i cannot think of one thing unique about the artist i just mentioned...
