this was an awesome cassete back in 1984,i would have to rank it in the top 10 cassetes of the 80`s, every song on out of cellar was great, it rocked.
If anybody Geaorge ... ( 6 months ago by stevieVantanna)
If anybody Geaorge sounds like Warren-with the wierd intervals they hit sometimes..like the wierd arabic meets west coast blues sound. George didn't rip off Eddie at all-you are wrong on that. George did have to rethink his whole style after seeing Eddie perform.
If George ripped ... ( 6 months ago by stevieVantanna)
If George ripped off Eddie that Randy Rhoads ripped Eddie off even more.
All those loser ... ( 6 months ago by dajzilla)
All those loser hair band guitarist of the 80's ripped off the great EDWARD LODEWIJK VAN HALEN! Eddie = original, genius, amazing, incredible while all these other goons like Lynch, DeMartini, Jake E. Lee, Rhoads, Malmsteen, etc, etc are nothing but EVH wanna be's. I guess you can't blame them though. I mean, what the fuck can you do when you know that Edward has already done it all? I do love Vai, Satriani and Gilbert. They smoke! GREAT shit from those guys!
Bullshit Demartini ... ( 5 months ago by GlamRockRuss)
Bullshit Demartini doesn't sound like any1, notice how he refuses to do any tapping. Clearly you haven't listened to any Ratt if you think Demartini sounds absolutely anything like Eddie, for example Ratt often uses 12 string gutiars in melodies whereas Ediie almost never does this. Plus malmsteen i dont like but hes completelu fuckin different to eddie!!!! wtf dude malmsteen plays neo-classical style whereas eddie never does any of that shit get your facts straight m8
DeMartini and Lynch ... ( 5 months ago by dantes1815)
DeMartini and Lynch didn't rip off Eddie Van Halen. Sure, they were more than likely inspired/influenced by him, but they have a sound completely their own. Listen to Mr. Scary by Lynch; Eddie plays nothing like that. Regardless, all the above mentioned players kick ass and I love them all. I say you get all three of em together for a jam...THAT would rock the fucking house!!!

hey dajzilla. just because eddie got famous first doesnt mean that ever hair metal guitarist after him copied hm. and randy was his own person. if you listen there is notihn that he wrote that sounds similar to eddie. after all eddie copied clapton

Well, I haven't heard the house of pain demo, so I couldn't refute or confirm your claim. Alas, the debate rages on...
first off, vai and ... ( 3 months ago by evhgl87)
first off, vai and malmsteen can kiss my ass. second, eddie isnt god, so stop treating him like it. edwards style is care-free and his songs were originally pop-like so he could cheer himself up, and forget about all the drugs, stress, and depression.
third, lynch bitched about demartini stealing "his style". given each person is good at what they do, i give more credit to gilbert for technique over all of them. i give lynch credit for solo creativity, and eddie for the fun-factor of music =]

I used to play with half of the band members
in San Diego and LA, they werent ripping anyone off, we used to watch Van Halen when they were just another local band just like Quiet Riot and Motley Crue. They got their break alot sooner is all. We actualy bought alot of out amps from Eddie when i played with Robbin.

It used to piss me off back in the day when people would call RATT posers just because they wore flashy clothes. That is called stage presence and no their music didn't suck so no, they were not posers. That's all I wanted to say.!!!

I don't have alot of money, but I can get some good lookin' chics and got plenty of whiskey.

You should arrange ... ( 1 month ago by JosephKuby)
You should arrange an interview with the creator of the Robbin Crosby fan site. I think your valuable insight would be endlessly treasured. The weird thing is, though, there's this series of metal videos online called "Metal That Sounds Like Other Metal" and Motley Crue, Dokken and Ratt were accused of sharing the same riff. :| Bah, well anyway, I like Ratt more than Dokken and Motley...just for the sheer fact that they are more timeless. Ratt did heavy and pop stuff better.
