NEWS Documentary Commentary- 3min:56 secs São Paulo, Brazil - Saturday Morning, Feb 9, 2008, Mocidade Alegre Samba School gets ready to enter the grounds from backstage into the stage singing and dancing to their Samba Enredo (Samba Theme Plot) for the second time this week. Mocidade Alegre has
taken home with its community the second place among all Samba School finalists this Year in São Paulo, Brazil, Samba School's parade. They call the lead singers "pullers" for the job they have in the entire community group, pulling everyone else into the cadence of the fast beat while trying to
rush everyone into a faster tempo with enough energy as needed to cross the entire avenue the Sambadrome stage is on. The drummers follow the band. The Queen of the drums leads the way, and so does the Flag Bearer and the "Baianas."(the women from Bahia with the wide dresses). They are all entering
the Sambadrome. They celebrate the diverse immigration to São Paulo, all that ethnic diversity which made São Paulo the city it is Today. While the Flag Bearer and her section dances on the walk, Mocidade Alegre's Front Commission gets ready while the first car float await to enter the grounds.
